The first five-star sailing ship to carry the Italian flag has opened its sails for corporate hire. The Signora del Vento is a three-masted sailing ship that is 85m in length, with a sailing surface of 3000mq. Built in Poland in 1962, she sailed for more than 30 years in the North Sea. From the 1990′s the sailing yacht became a training ship in seas all over the world and participated in many yacht meetings.

In 2006, she arrived in the Mediterranean to be completely refurbished to the standard required to obtain Italian registration. The finished result is superb and one that pleases her captain, Captain Emanuele Santi, “the Signora del Vento offers a unique experience for people…it’s possible to learn about navigation techniques, rigging, instrumentation and sail handling”.

As anybody who has ever been on board a ship will know, team building is important and the corporate audience is one that the Signora del Vento hopes to attract.

Usually moored in Civitavecchia, she has 25 double rooms to accommodate a maximum of 54 passengers. The 600mq main deck can hold up to 200 guests for a day cruise or a gala dinner.

You can find out more about the ship by visiting www.signoradelvento.com.

Shamrock V was built in 1930 for Sir Thomas Lipton’s fifth and last America’s Cup challenge. Designed by Nicholson, she was the first British yacht to be built to the new J Class Rule and is the only remaining J to have been built in wood. After launch she was continually upgraded with changes to hull shape and rudder.
Refitted in 1999 by Dykstra & Partners at the Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth, England to the highest modern standards, capable of traversing oceans in comfort and safety all within the boundaries set by the originality – and styling requirements.

This is the first boat built by the renowned Perini Navi shipyard, italian naval industry pride, universally acclaimed for its quality of construction and interior finish.
The yacht is 40 metres long and was refitted in 2004.
She spent almost two years around the world, 2005-2007.
31,000 miles, driven by the wind across breathtaking natural scenarios, populations and cultures. Canary islands, Caribbean, Galapagos, Bora-Bora, Tahiti, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Ceylon, Maldive Islands, Red Sea, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Malta, just to name a few places this boat has been to.

Here is a virtual tour. It contains new professional solutions for virtual tours, i.e. interactive animated elements, such as movies and cards, in order to make the environment almost real.

The schooner Thö Pa Ga was build in 1924 at the shipyard of the brothers Navarro in Aguilas, Spain, and named Tres Hermanos (The Three Brothers). Since the year 2000 the ship was based in Ibiza.

It is a beautiful 42 metre vessel that was part of the CaraMed fleet due to make the journey to Brest 2008. It bears the beautiful Tibetan name Thö Ga Pa, “he who listens with delight” and was christened by its owner and inhabitant for the past 35 years, Gerald Delgado, joined 10 years later by Nicole Legler.
Bound for Brest 2008, an event they have been trying to reach since the festival began, the ship sank on July 8th off Ile de Sein in a matter of minutes, probably as a result of impact with an unidentified floating object.

The objective of the associaton Sauvez la goélette THÖ PA GA (Save the schooner Thö Pa Ga) is to locate the schooner and see what state it is.
