Shamrock V was built in 1930 for Sir Thomas Lipton’s fifth and last America’s Cup challenge. Designed by Nicholson, she was the first British yacht to be built to the new J Class Rule and is the only remaining J to have been built in wood. After launch she was continually upgraded with changes to hull shape and rudder.
Refitted in 1999 by Dykstra & Partners at the Pendennis Shipyard in Falmouth, England to the highest modern standards, capable of traversing oceans in comfort and safety all within the boundaries set by the originality – and styling requirements.

The schooner Thö Pa Ga was build in 1924 at the shipyard of the brothers Navarro in Aguilas, Spain, and named Tres Hermanos (The Three Brothers). Since the year 2000 the ship was based in Ibiza.

It is a beautiful 42 metre vessel that was part of the CaraMed fleet due to make the journey to Brest 2008. It bears the beautiful Tibetan name Thö Ga Pa, “he who listens with delight” and was christened by its owner and inhabitant for the past 35 years, Gerald Delgado, joined 10 years later by Nicole Legler.
Bound for Brest 2008, an event they have been trying to reach since the festival began, the ship sank on July 8th off Ile de Sein in a matter of minutes, probably as a result of impact with an unidentified floating object.

The objective of  the associaton Sauvez la goélette THÖ PA GA (Save the schooner Thö Pa Ga) is to locate the schooner and see what state it is.
